Robert Lewis Webster
Pfc. Robert Webster, 20, son of Mrs. John Links, 1509 26th Ave., Moline and Claude O. (Buck) Webster, of Orion, was killed Friday, March 6, 1970 in combat in Thua Thien, South Viet Nam.
Pfc. Webster was born Nov. 16, 1949 in Moline and was a 1968 graduate of Moline High School. At one time he resided in Orion.
Prior to entering service in July 1969, he had been employed in construction work. He had been in Viet Nam since January and was serving with the 191st Airborne Division.
Surviving are his stepfather and mother, two sisters, Mrs Kay Pennicker, of Marshfield, Mass., and Mrs. Jean Crawford of Toronto, Canada, and a grandmother, Mrs. Edna Moreland, East Moline.
Burial was at Viola Cemetery, in Viola, IL.
Robert is honored on Panel 13W, Row 90 of the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial.
