Patricia “Trish” Suman Mille
Patricia “Trish” Suman Mille passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2022. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by Trish’s sudden death. We take comfort in knowing that she has gone on to be with her savior, Jesus Christ.
Trish was born on January 19th, 1950 in Moline, Illinois to Richard and Marian Suman. She was a 1968 graduate of Moline High School. She attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where she majored in Political Science and History. She was also a member of Delta Zeta sorority.
Trish went on to work for 13 years at John Deere in Moline, Illinois processing employee medical claims. Trish formed many lasting friendships during her time at John Deere. After moving to North Carolina in 1994, Trish began working at Matthews Children’s Clinic where she helped countless local families process their insurance claims.
During her spare time, Trish was a lover of dogs, reading, cooking, baking, classical music, sewing, and her frequent trips to North Myrtle Beach. To those that knew her, Trish’s strength and depth of love had no limitations. She was kind, a patient listener and a gentle soul who was generous with her time and talents. Trish sang in the traditional choir at Christ Lutheran Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Daniel J. Mille; son, Adam Mille (Amanda); daughter, Katherine Harrison (Matthew); sister Linda Coolidge (John); grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Nonie” - Spencer, Parker, Mille Grace and Graham.
Her memorial service was held at 2:00 PM, Friday October 28th, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC. To “Celebrate Life” the family held a reception immediately following services at Christ Lutheran Church.
