George Stanley Roberts

George Stanley Roberts, 73, of Moline, passed away Friday September 1, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. The visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to the family for a fund to be established.
George was born on March 31, 1950, in Moline, the son of Harlan and Glenna (Aten) Roberts. He graduated from Moline High School in 1968, and later from Marycrest College. He served in the Illinois National Guard for eight years. George was the longtime owner & operator of Moline Motors. He loved coaching his children in youth baseball and was an avid Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves fan. George enjoyed watching old movies, attending stock car races and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela (Allaman); children: Curt (Hanna) Roberts, New York, NY, Steve (Lindsey) Roberts, Bettendorf, Britni (Robert) Moses, Rock Island; grandchildren, Sebastian, Elliot, Gunner, Sawyer; brother, David (Susan) Roberts, San Pedro, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Anna Fontenoy and Betty DeWispelaere.
