Donna Oaks Mohr
Donna Sue Mohr, 59, a resident of Eldridge, Iowa, died at her home on Monday, June 21, 2010, after an extended illness;
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport.
She was born November 16, 1950, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of John and Arlene (Wheeler) Oaks and was a 1968 graduate of Moline High School. On March 24, 1995, she married Alan E. Mohr in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donna worked for Desaulnier's Printing Company of Milan, Illinois, from 1968 to 1992 in purchasing and sales. In addition, she modeled for the Rosen Agency.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Alan; her mother, Arlene Oaks of Eldridge; her sister, Melinda (Mike) Pettitt of Crystal River, Florida; her nephews, Michael Pettitt of Eldridge and David Pettitt of Crystal River; her niece, Emily Pettitt of Orlando, Florida; her stepsons, Dr. Eric (Angela) Mohr of Eldridge, Ryan (Leslie) Mohr of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Nathan Mohr of Chicago, Illinois; her step-grandson, Zac Wessel of Eldridge; her treasured step-granddaughters, Isabella Mohr of Eldridge and Madison Mohr of Storm Lake; and her very special friends, Jack and Heather Smith of Moline.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, John Oaks, and her much loved companion, "Neko."
Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.
