Michael A. Nicke
Michael A. Nicke, 65, of Moline, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Moline.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to QC Paws.
Mike was born on Jan. 22, 1950, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, the son of Donald and Mary Dawson Nicke. He married Sally Heegan on Aug. 14, 1999, in Moline.
Mike retired from Sears Manufacturing in 2013, after 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, riding his Harley, yard work, loved music, spending time with his family and friends, and he was an avid Chicago sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; children, Zach Nicke, Moline, Michelle (Jeremy) Benson, Moline, and Matthew (Becca) Nicke, Moline; stepson, Ryne Ehlers, Moline; grandchildren, Kameron, Alex, Lauren, Abbie, Michael and Joe; and brothers, Darell Nicke, Milan, and John Nicke, Wapakoneta. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Nicke.
