Louisa McVey Krukenberg
Services for Louisa Krukenberg, 46, of 134 W. 13th St, Coal Valley, are 11 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery.
Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Louisa Kruckenberg Memorial Fund.
Mrs. Krukenberg died Thursday, Feb. 15, 1996, at home after a lengthy illness.
The former Louisa Ann McVey was born Jan 2, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Louis and Marianne Woodard McVey. She married Lynden B. Kruckenberg April 3, 1971, in Moline.
She was employed as a program leader at the Association for Retarded Citizens for six years, retiring in 1992 due to illness.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, and ceramics.Survivors include the widower; a son, Joe Kruckenberg, Rock Island; her parents, Houston, Texas; a sister, Dianna Johnson, Coal Valley; a brother, Bradley McVey; and her father and mother-in-law, Allen and Dona Kruckenberg, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
