Roger G. Massey
Roger G. Massey, 44, East Moline, died Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Moline. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the church.
Mr. Massey was born Aug. 8, 1950, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., the son of Billy and Theda Snow Massey. He married Debra Shingledecker April 7, 1984, in Davenport.
He was employed as a systems analyst for AMCCOM, Rock Island Arsenal.
He was working toward his master's degree in business administration at St. Ambrose University, Davenport.
He was a teacher and chairperson at the church and a member of the Illinois Alumni Association.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran, serving in Korea.
Survivors include the widow; his parents, Lady Lake, Fla.; brothers, David Massey, Dunlap, Ill., and Michael Massey, Muskogee, Okla.; a grandmother, Dell Massey, Trumann, Ark.; and his mother-in-law, Mildred Shingledecker.
