Memorial services for Nancy Boquist Nielsen, 53, of Chicago, formerly of Coal Valley, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Iowa City.
Nancy died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Iowa City.
Nancy Boquist was born July 18, 1950, in Moline, daughter of Dale and Dolores Hubbard Boquist. She graduated from Moline High School in 1968 and from North Park College, Chicago, in 1972. Nancy earned her master's degree in social services administration from the University of Chicago.
She was director of arbitration at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Nancy was also co-owner of Markland-Hubbard Gourmet Provisions, Chicago.
She enjoyed reading, traveling and drinking a cup of coffee and especially loved to spend time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Alynna Nielsen and her husband, Grant Schulert, Iowa City; parents, Dale and Dolores Boquist, Coal Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and William Wilson, Normal, Ill., Susan Boquist, Carbon Cliff, and Barbara and Richard II Moller, Silvis; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Seth Wilson and Meagan, Richard III and Samantha Moller; and her cat, Twilight.
