Robert Armstrong, 56, of Moline, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at his home.
Services will be Friday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation will be today, May 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert Armstrong was born June 18, 1949, to Leonard and Lorene Varnold Armstrong in Galesburg. He graduated from Moline High School in 1968 and married Vicki Scobey in 1971.
He was employed for 15 years in the maintenance department at SouthPark Mall. Robert enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on cars and building with Legos. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God in Silvis.
Survivors (and spouses) include his wife, Vicki; his mother, Lorene Hickle, Moline; one daughter, Virginia (Shawn) Francis, Rock Island; sister, Vicki (Lynn) Morris, Rock Island; two brothers, Donald (Angie) Armstrong, Coal Valley, Gary (Sandra) Armstrong, East Moline; and three grandchildren, Autumn, Breeanna, and Zachariah Francis, Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father and brother, David Armstrong.
